The 2009 Quatro Freeride boards are an evolution of last years model. The result is a lighter board with better acceleration and excellent top speed with the same medium length & full outline concept and a super fast rocker.

The bottom features an accelerating V that becomes more defined towards the tail, making the board extremely fast and allows you to fully continue turns when jibing.

There is a slight double concave by the mast track to absorb those hard hits when going real fast on choppy water, making your ride more comfortable, stable and ultimately, faster.

These boards bring you the maximum fun in freeriding and light wind sailing. Because of the large volumes, no pumping is needed to glide though lulls. Needless to say we’re stoked to find these boards to be adrenaline rushing racers as well.

The 2009 Quatro Freeride boards feature a single sandwich deck and a double sandwich bottom. The lamination is done with full biaxial glass in complements to Biaxial-Carbon reinforcements. This construction allows us to have an excellent balance between strength and weight, as well as harmonic flex and performace.

The 2009 Quatro Freeride boards come with specially designed Dual Density Footpads and feature new MFC fins and footstraps.

The focus of this board is to get anyone to enjoy the windsurfing feeling fast and allow the rider to improve into the future on the same board.

A wide & short fin helps first time water starts in shallow sections while still maintaining enough fin area once you are planing. Additionaly, the all new fully retractable Allgaier® dagger board brings the best of both worlds. You can choose to either have it hidden away, tucked inside the board while riding around, or have it down for first time riders or for trimming upwind on the lighter wind days. Having the daggeboard down maximizes stability while learning to uphaul.

The board features a full EVA deck. Added foam thickness in the nose area keeps the board safe from potential boom front and mast hits. A Harder denser EVA around the whole perimeter of the board helps keeping the rails looking like new after a full season.

We added a carry & pulling strap at the tail, in addition to the handle at the nose, making it even easier to carry the board in and out of the water.

The 2009 FXR line is a compact and stable design that gets planning on the lightest breeze and flies effortlessly through the wind lulls. The tuned rockers keep the board gliding with a reduced wetted surface area. On the jibes the more compact design helps the FXR turn with ease, and finish the transitions with speed. In a straight line, the boards are extremely fast. The curved deck under the foot strap area provides an incredibly smooth and comfortable ride.

With the footstraps settled to the inner position, the FXR maneuvers and transitions easily. In this position, the straps are also in the ideal configuration for first time footstraps users, making getting in the straps easy and fun. With the “further out into the rail” footstraps position the more advanced rider can trim the windward rail high with more control, maximizing rail and fin lift, and increasing speed even more.

The board construction focuses on light weight and strength. The sanded finish minimizes paint weight, and biaxial glass provides great strength and dent resistance. Deck pads and foot straps have been improved for a more comfortable and tunable fit.
Also, each FXR board comes with a new Liquid Move series fin designed by MFC exclusively for Goya.

The 2009 X1 is the next generation in the highly successful Goya Freestyle Series. The X1’s target is extreme freestyle performance. The board features an increased tail bevel for reverse sliding tricks as well as an extended flat section on the deck for more direct feel through your feet. We finetuned the pop abilities of this board to a great extent. By reducing the wetted surface of its fast rocker, we achieved for the board to pop of the water like doing an ollie on a skateboard, whenever you want it. What makes this board detach more easy than others is its super light construction. Clean & sharp edges make it highly reactive to the riders pressure.

The customized inserts for foot strap set up options, an exclusive MFC 211 fin and the strong & light construction make this board perfect for endless flatwater fun. Who said flatwater was boring anyway – when you hardly ever touch it? The air is yours!

The One Freestyle Wave Series^TM features fresh new shapes for 2009, plus the addition of a larger size, the ONE 105 to complete the range.

The headlining design improvement for this year’s One Series is also the Progressive Rocker Concept^TM. The rocker is tuned specifically to meet the performance demands of each board size. In the smaller sizes of 77 and 85, there is more rocker to maximize control and maneuverability. In the larger sizes of 95 and 105, there is less rocker so that early planing and a high top end speed are maximized.

The tuck line and volume displacements are tuned for each size as well, guaranteeing the same positive and playful feeling throughout the range.

The Progressive Rocker Concept^TM is the headlining development for all new Goya wave boards boards. Progressive rocker means the rocker evolves from the smallest to the largest boards. Maneuverability and control are maximized in the 66, and as the range grows through 72, 78 and the new 84, more emphasis is placed on early planing. The rocker, rig, fin and stance geometry and volume displacement are individually tuned for each sized board and target rider so that performance is optimized, all the while keeping with the tradition a smooth, fast and playful feeling that Goya boards are known for.
